All new student registration for the 2020-2021 school year opened online mid July2021.

To enroll your child as a student at Herrington Elementary, please read and complete the steps outlined below:

 

If you plan to be a Watch D.O.G., go on a field trip, volunteer in the classroom, or work with students, you must complete the online application AND receive approval. Please allow at least two weeks before the event you wish to attend, as approval can take several weeks. The Online Volunteer Application for 2020-21 will open in August 2020.

Some helpful tips to remember when submitting your volunteer application:

  1. Please complete entire form.
  2. Select the school(s) where you would like to volunteer (you can choose more than one school).
  3. Please make sure that you click the SUBMIT button.

Linda Herrington Elementary has been designated a Spanish Language and Culture Institute. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade attend five 50-minute Spanish classes every two weeks. Students are learning the Spanish language as well as learning about the cultures of Spanish speaking countries and the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico. The Spanish program coordinator is Sharon Figueroa. Spanish teachers are Rosa Baza, Mirna Dumarielle, Laura Gonzalez, and Nubia Rabic.

Herrington’s 2018-19 School Report Card

Highlights of the 2018-19 school report card include Herrington’s overall scaled scores and Distinction Designations.

Herrington earned an “A” Accountability Rating with an overall scaled score of 94!

Herrington's overall scale score was 94, for a grade of A.

 Herrington also received four of the six Distinction Designations that can be earned by elementary schools:

  • Academic Achievement in Science
  • Top 25% Comparative Academic Growth
  • Top 25% Comparative Closing the Gaps
  • Postsecondary Readiness
