It’s time to get creative! PTA Reflections is back, and we’re inviting all Herrington Hawks to show us what this year’s theme, “What My Culture Means to Me,” means to them.
Reflections is a National PTA arts program that has been encouraging students to explore their creativity for more than 50 years. And you definitely don’t have to consider yourself an “artist” to participate. Creativity comes in all kinds of wonderfully weird and brilliant forms!
Students can submit an original work in one or more of six categories: Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Music Composition, Dance Choreography, or Film Production.

👻🎨 From scary stories to seriously adorable pet costumes! 🐾✂️ Our second graders dove into Canva for the FIRST time and created their own comic strips and costume designs—and WOW, did they knock it out of the park! 🚀💻

It’s National Arts in Art Week and we want to celebrate the amazing activities happening in Art and Music at Herrington!
5th graders in art class are working on blind contour self portraits, demonstrating how line and movement can define form.
4th graders are rendering 3D objects using value and color.
Students are learning how to play music in a pentatonic scale with melodic and rhythmic ostinatos.
Second graders are working on Lego self-portraits for Art to Remember.
Join us for our LHE Open House, Thursday, September 17. This is a come-and-go event. Stop by anytime between 5pm and 6:30pm. During this event you can visit your child's homeroom classroom, Specials & Spanish classroom. Please note: this is NOT a time for parent conferences. If you have questions or concerns to discuss with your child's teacher, please reach out to them to schedule a separate time to meet

Free Parent Workshop–Join us for "Hey Dude, Nice Shoes" a kindness & anti-bullying presentation. Thursday, Sept. 3, 5:30-6:30pm in the LHE cafeteria. (Our first PTA Membership Meeting will immediately follow the presentation).
Meet the Teacher! Join us Monday, August 17th, 4:30-6:00pm. Drop off supplies and meet your new teacher!

Have you completed your 2026-27 annual forms for your student?
Make sure to complete these and check them off your list early!
School starts Aug. 19, and our online annual forms portal closes Sept. 4.
If you need help with your forms, please make an appointment with any of our campus registrars.

Round Rock ISD students will need to take home their district-issued Chromebook over the summer. All students’ Classlink and Google accounts will remain available over the summer break.
If you are a graduating senior, please return your device and charger to your school’s ITS before graduation.
Students participating in the district-provided summer learning programs will need to bring their Chromebooks with them each day.

Save the Date: We invite you to join us for our Bye Bye Breakfast Celebrations on the last day of school, May 21st. If you plan to join your child, please bring your ID and check in at the front office. If you choose to leave with your child after the celebration, teachers will have sign out sheets in their classrooms.
