Things to Know

To our Herrington Community,
Happy summer, everyone!  I know the end of the year flew by but we sure ended it with a bang.   Our Field Day was the best ever, we had a very successful book fair, and we had a ball watching Coach Shelby get slimed!  Not to mention, our Dual Language performance was stellar and showcased the talents of many of our students.  What did you all think of the yearbook?  I thought the yearbook captured the highlights of the great fun and learning that we had this year.

I hope you all are having a blast soaking in the sun with family and friends and reading, reading, reading!  Check out the link on our website if you need more information about the summer reading program.

Our community continues to grow, so if you are new to Herrington let me express a sincere “Welcome” to you and your families.  You are going to love it here!  It is my hope that you find Herrington Elementary an inviting, nurturing campus with a strong academic focus.  We stay consistent with our mission and vision and strive each day to teach in a way that will positively impact our students.  We have a very hard working staff who love teaching and love their students.  I am honored to work with them.

I want to thank all of our fantastic parent volunteers and our amazing PTA.  Because of their efforts and work, there were so many fun activities and new learning opportunities for our students.  The support from our parents and volunteers is priceless!

Building strong relationships with all stakeholders is very important to me. If you ever have a concern about something or a question, please call or email me or the classroom teacher. Communication is vital to the success of our school and we want to partner with you to help your children reach their full potential. Together we can make it happen!

Go Hawks!
